Byron Harrison at the double for Barrow as they dump Bristol Rovers out
A brace of goals from striker Byron Harrison gave non-League Barrow a shock 2-1 FA Cup second-round win over Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium.
The League One side took a 10th-minute lead when Lee Brown's shot came back off the inside of a post
Luke James fired the rebound towards goal and Rory Gaffney turned it over the line from close range.
But National League Barrow were far from disheartened and equalised six minutes later, Harrison running onto to a flick-on from strike partner Richard Bennett to shoot low past Kelle Roos.
The visitors went on to create the better first-half chances, Harrison being denied by Roos, although Rovers almost went in front just before the break when an attempted clearance by Nick Anderton cannoned off Chris Lines just wide.
Barrow clinched a famous victory on 61 minutes when Liam Hughes crossed from the right and Harrison escaped his marker to shoot home from six yards.
Gaffney almost equalised with a 77th-minute shot that hit the crossbar and later fired wide of an open goal
But Barrow held on to extend their unbeaten run to 21 matches.
