Pirates and Shakers share points
League Two strugglers Bristol Rovers and Bury had to be content with a point each after battling out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Memorial Stadium.
Rovers were gifted a fourth-minute lead when Shaun Beeley mistimed his challenge on Eliot Richards to concede a penalty, which John-Joe O'Toole fired high into the roof of the net.
But Bury were the better side in the opening half and deservedly equalised after 36 minutes when the home side failed to clear a Beeley cross from the right and Danny Hylton shot home from close range.
The visitors should have been level earlier but Hylton headed a good chance wide and Shaun Harrad contrived to fire over the crossbar with the goal at his mercy.
Rovers improved after the break with Chris Beardsley and Matt Harrold going close as Alfie Santos caused problems on the right flank.
But the Shakers still hit the crossbar through a Harrad header and forced some good saves from Rovers goalkeeper Steve Mildenhall.
