Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope hopes his side will take some confidence from their battling 1-1 draw against high-flying Oldham. Rovers bounced back from last week's 4-0 hammering by Southampton to pick up a point at Boundary Park courtesy of Will Hoskins' lob, despite having Danny Coles sent off late on. "It was a good point after the disappointing performance against Southampton last week and I am pleased that I got a reaction," said Trollope. "It was one of those up and down games where both sides had spells on top but we showed team spirit, togetherness and a work ethic. "We have not started the season as we wanted and confidence is not sky high but it was important to take a step forward. "We did that and the players played with intensity. We could have won it in the second half, even after Danny Coles was sent off."
