Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope believes his new system and style of play are throwing up worthwhile challenges for his players in pre-season. Rovers continued their preparations for this season's npower League One campaign with a goalless draw against Cheltenham on Wednesday night and Trollope is pleased with their progress. "I think we are asking the players a few questions in the system we are trying to play, both with and without the ball," he told the club's official website. "I think you could see (against Cheltenham) the damage that can be done when we don't play with it because it is quite an open system if you don't get everyone on it at the right time. "It's going to take a lot of thought, awareness and energy to make it work." "In the second half we passed the ball quicker and showed a better tempo. We started winning more second ball and playing in a more progressive manner. I think you could see the players enjoyed it."
