Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope feels Jeff Hughes is reaping the rewards after been given more freedom on the pitch. Hughes scored a hat-trick in the 3-0 crushing of Dagenham at the weekend and has been given more chance to cut inside rather than hug the touchline. Trollope believes Hughes has reacted well to the new tactics. "We tried a lot of different formations in pre-season to try and bring a bit more fluidity to our play and Jeff was one of those who grasped every one we used," he told the Bristol Evening Post. "We have given him a bit more license to come off the shape and get involved in play in midfield areas in the last few games and he has had a big impact."
