Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope is hoping for big things from his new-look strikeforce. Trollope handed Bristol City loanee John Akinde his first start in attack alongside Jo Kuffour, with Will Hoskins moving to the right, in Saturday's goalless draw with Brentford. "John has not had many 90 minutes. We tried to work him really hard early in the week but he certainly tired towards the end," said Trollope. "His match fitness will improve as we go, but I think there were some terrific signs in the first half, his links with Jo and Will. "His movement is good for a big man. He is not an old-fashioned target man by any means, but I think Jo is enjoying playing alongside him and there are a lot of good things to build on."
