Bristol Rovers have accused Leyton Orient of making an illegal approach for Irish midfielder Dave Savage.
The former Millwall player was approached by Orient over the new year period despite the club being denied permission to speak to the player by Rovers.
Savage has since sustained a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win against Northampton, which according to Orient boss Martin Ling has put the deal on the back burner.
Savage requested a transfer early this season due to a desire to move closer to home, however he was expected to see out this campaign and leave at the end of his contract.
Savage has recently reclaimed his first team place putting in some excellent performances on the left side of midfield.
