Notts County are in talks with Bristol Rovers defender Carl Regan about a loan move until the end of the season, reports BBC Radio Bristol.The 30-year-old is out contract with the Pirates at the end of this term and has fallen out of favour under new manager Dave Penney in recent weeks.
Regan played under Magpies manager Paul Ince at both Macclesfield and MK Dons.
And Penney said: "Carl is talking to them [Notts]. Paul likes him and it looks like he will end up going there."
