The striker, who scored in the 3-1 victory over Swindon, believes the squad`s confidence has been boosted and he hopes their recent up-turn in fortunes is a sign of things to come.
He told the club`s official website: "We needed a week like that to kick-start our season again - and we believe we have the tools available to push on up the league.
"It was our first win in a while against Swindon and, hopefully, there are many more to come.
"We're not just thinking about safety, because we believe we have a realistic chance of finishing in mid-table."
The Pirates visit bottom of the table Walsall on Saturday hoping to build on their recent revival on the back of their first clean sheet in 17 matches in the 0-0 draw with Hartlepool.
