"None of us have the right answers to all of this, we just have to do what we think is right and respect each other and I think that's what we have done.
"The hard thing for me and the players now is making sure that we approach Saturday with respect for the situation but also we get ourselves prepared because we have to perform."
Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope told BBC Radio Bristol: "It had been a difficult week - the defeat at Oxford had left a bitter taste in our mouths.
Trollope hails 'fantastic reaction'
"But I was pleased with the reaction of the players on Saturday. It was a brave, committed performance and we've managed to maintain that level this week in training.
"There have been a lot more smiles on faces and a lot more tempo to the week off the back of that win. The players are hungry. It was a fantastic reaction and they want to carry that on into Saturday."
