Well with a new season on the horizon, and so much change going on at Bristol Rovers, its time to look at the main changes for this season.
Manager -
This time last year we had Ray "Grayday" Graydon, Over the last season it became apparent that Graydon's tactics were not working and that his lack of passion was starting to really rile the long suffering home fans. Although there was the change at the end of the season with Ian Atkins former right hand man Kevan Broadhurst and former Bristol City manager and star of Escape to Victory, Russel Osman taking the helm for the last 8 games, it is widely recognised that Ian Atkins was the man behind the results.
This year the "new man" is officially in charge and he is Ian Atkins. With what was shown in the last 8 games of the previous season and the amount of signatures that have been made this season excitement is very high once again. Previous seasons have seen levels of anticipation very high with the return of previous heroes in gradon and Francis, however both returns have come of no avail.
Yet with this man at the helm having no previous connections with Bristol Rovers and the experiance of promotion and being the saviour at other clubs, this really is a chance for Rovers to finally shine in the 3rd division or the Coca-Cola Division 2 (Whatever you want to call it!)
Hopefully Rovers will finally become a force to reckon with once again!
